Welcome to E.F. Starr Elementary!

 

  I would like to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of the Starr Elementary School faculty, support staff, and students.   We hope that you find our website useful and informative, as well as providing all the answers to your questions about our school.   Starr Elementary School is a school of approximately 285 diverse students with two or three sections for each grade, Kindergarten through fifth.  We believe that every student can learn and take pride in finding each student's unique learning style.  Instruction is provided in a positive, nurturing, and disciplined environment.  We encourage parental and community participation with regard to our continuing school improvement. Your support of our students' education is valued and appreciated.

Starr Elementary School is a multicultural and diverse learning community.  We strive to prepare each student for academic, social and personal success by providing a safe, supportive, challenging and meaningful environment.  Parents and the community are encouraged to join us in this task.  Together we can, and will, make a difference in the lives of our students.

  Our students have at-home access to TumbleBooks.  The TumbleBook Library is an online collection of animated, talking picture books which teach young children the joys of reading in a format they'll love.
