Both teams ran well considering that the flu has hit. The girls only had four runners finish the race; two girls stayed home sick. The highlight of the girls race for Grand Island was the performance of freshman Hailey Schmidt who finished 9th.
The boys were once again lead by senior Chase McClaren who medaled by placing 14th almost a full minute faster than last year in a time of 17:02.98. The remaining scorers for GI (Meharg, T McClaren, Appel, and Duis) all cut time from last years performance.
