The Woman of Distinction Award goes to an outstanding woman in honor of her support of other women and for helping build a strong community. The award was first presented in 1987.
The Woman of Courage, recognizing a woman who has shown courage in facing and addressing struggles, conflicts and adversity, and the Volunteer of the Year Award were added in 2009.
