There was no falling asleep for seventh grader Tucker Vahle who correctly spelled “narcoleptic” to win the Hall County Spelling Bee on Saturday at Westridge Middle School.

Finishing second was eighth grader Ryan Williams. Tucker and Ryan battled on half dozen words before Ryan misspelled “feral.” Tucker won the competition by correctly spelling “feral” and then spelling correctly the word that won him the competition, “narcoleptic.”

Both Tucker and Ryan go to Westridge Middle School. Finishing third was Dylan Espinoza, an eighth grader at Trinity Lutheran School.  Full Story
