Westridge Middle School plans wellness night
The Westridge School Wellness Council will sponsor a Westridge Wellness Night from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the school.
Zumba instructor Denise Kingery from the YMCA will teach students to Zumba in PE class on Monday and Tuesday. Then the students will teach their parents the Zumba dance from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Other events will include:
-- Free blood pressure screenings by student nurses from Central Community College.
-- Free vision screening by Walmart vision staff.
-- Education about nutritious snacks and portion size.
-- Make-it-and-take-it nutritious snacks.
-- Bike registrations.
