The students at West Lawn Elementary are "visiting" Asia this month as part of an after-school program.

"It gives the kids an opportunity that they don't normally get in the classroom, as far as learning about cultures of different places around the world," Wanda Stelk, integration specialist, said. "This gives us the opportunity to have the kids gain an appreciation for different cultures."

The students were split into six groups, each to learn something different. Topics for the program include judo, different versions of Cinderella, the importance of the dragon, food art, Chinese checkers and Chinese banners.  Full Story
