Fourth-graders at Wasmer Elementary are learning about the Pawnee this week, thanks to an $810 grant from the Nebraska Arts Council.

Wasmer is using the grant to present Nancy Fairbanks, professional potter, to the students during the week.

"Nancy Fairbanks does a wonderful job. She has such a wealth of history and information about the Pawnee and pottery," fourth-grade teacher Deb Knuse said. "She mixes them together to bring the history of the Pawnee alive in the classroom."  Full Story
