Walnut Middle School plans concerts

Walnut Middle School’s seventh- and eighth-graders will present vocal music concerts Tuesday and Friday in the school’s auditorium at 1600 N. Custer.

The Tuesday seventh-grade concert is titled “Kickin’ It Old Skool,” said vocal music teacher Kay Lyons.

That concert will be offered at 2:20 p.m. for students and parents who cannot attend the evening performance and again at 7 that night.

The seventh-grade chorus, seventh-grade show choir, and selected small groups will perform. Featured songs include “Footloose,” “Old Time Rock and Roll,” “Where Your Road Leads,” “Corner of the Sky” from “Pippin,” and “Break-away.”  Full Story
