Bea Southard listened intently as the eighth-grade show choir from Walnut Middle School demonstrated its talent to the residents of Lebensraum Assisted Living.

Southard, 91, who lives at Lebensraum, taught for 22 years at Walnut and is one of the school’s biggest fans.
