Unique projects for science fair

 You can learn a lot from a science fair -- from discovering which paper towel is more absorbent to how to extract DNA from fruit.

Nearly 100 students, representing each of the elementary and middle schools, participated in the third annual Grand Island Public Schools Science Fair Thursday.

Each school in the district brought up to seven students and their projects. Some of the schools had an in-school competition to determine who got to go to Thursday's fair.  Full Story
