Teacher knows how English learners feel

Tess Westover has a special connection to the second graders in her class who are learning English as a second language.

A native of the Philippines, she did not really learn English until she was an adult.

“Many of the students here at Howard are also learning the language as a second language. I know what they are feeling,” she said.  Full Story
