Students close out school year with 'Fun in the Sun'

Students, staff, parents and recent high school graduates all had "Fun in the Sun" Thursday at Westridge Middle School even before the official start of summer vacation on Friday afternoon.

Counselor Ramona Mrkvicka said staff members decided they wanted to have some team building exercises for students and staff that would send everybody off on a good note for the start of summer vacation.

That's why Westridge Middle School teachers, Principal Dan Brosz and Westridge parents were all stationed in and around the school to oversee various games and activities for the students. Mrkvicka said some of the games were based on some of the challenges presented by the "Minute to Win It" television show.  Full Story
