Even though he had read about the Grand Island business community's support for the school district, Valley County (Kan.) Superintendent Scott Springston said he was still surprised when he experienced that support firsthand on Tuesday in talking to various patrons of the Grand Island school district.
Springston is the second of four candidates to come to Grand Island this week to be interviewed for the job of superintendent.
He applauded the business community's support for the school district, saying that in today's world, school systems need to form partnerships with others, including not only the business community, but also institutions such as community colleges. Full Story
