Senior High wants College Street closed

Grand Island Senior High Principal Kent Mann said there's a growing danger at the high school.

"It's a roll of the dice every day," he told the school board Thursday night.

The danger is that of a student getting hit by the traffic on College Street, which bisects the high school campus between the main school building and its south practice fields and stadium.

High school staff recently counted traffic over eight days between 6:45 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Full Story
