GRAND ISLAND —
Work on the new Engleman Elementary is not yet complete, but it's now possible to see the finish line.

Dan Petsch, director of building and grounds, gave several school board members a late Thursday afternoon tour of the school, which is still under construction.

Many classrooms are definitely taking shape. Petsch led board members Lynn Cronk, Bonnie Hinkle and Susan Bullington through the building, along with administrators Deb Harder, Sue Burch and Virgil Harden.

Architect Brad Kissler of Cannon, Moss, Brygger and Associates also accompanied the school officials.

During the tour, Petsch said each elementary classroom has a "color accent wall." The wall is blue in some rooms, green in others and the accent wall is "yellow/gold" in still others.  Full Story
