The Grand Island school board will meet at 5 p.m. Monday to discuss the summer projects list for the school district, as well as review some longer range building projects that are needed to accommodate some planned program changes for the school district.

Almost 60 projects, both active and historical, are on the list for fiscal year 2009-10. The list has a number of smaller enterprises in cost, although the projects are still important to complete.

Examples include roof repair and replacement, door replacement, new carpet, new flooring, security camera installations and additions, gym floor work, heating and cooling system upgrades, tuck point and caulking work, and playground improvements across a variety of the district's 18 school buildings, as well as the Kneale Administration Building.  Full Story
