Principal for a Day

Technology, passion and compassion. Tonja Broadwell, one of 17 people who served as a Principal for the Day in the Grand Island Public Schools, said she saw all that and more during the time she spent with Walnut Middle School Principal Rod Foley.

Broadwell said that she was asked to be a Principal for a Day and was assigned to Walnut Middle School. She said the Walnut assignment was due to school board member Lynn Cronk.

Broadwell said she has two children in elementary school, but her oldest child is just beginning the sixth grade this year at Westridge Middle School. As a result, Broadwell said, Cronk thought she would most benefit from a day spent shadowing Foley through Walnut Middle School.  Full Story
