Parent-teacher conferences scheduled

Parent-teacher conferences in Grand Island Public Schools will be Monday, Feb. 7, through Wednesday, Feb. 9. Students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade do not have school on Thursday, Feb. 10, or Friday, Feb. 11. Students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade also do not have school on Wednesday, Feb. 9.

For high school students, parent-teacher conferences will be from 3:45 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, and from 3:45 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, in Grand Island Senior High School’s West Gym. Participants are asked to enter the high school on the west side from the Custer Street entrance. There will be translators available for parents to speak with their students’ teachers. High school students will be dismissed from school at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 and at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Conferences for middle school students will be from 3:45 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, and from 3:45 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Barr, Walnut, and Westridge Middle Schools. Middle school students will be dismissed from school at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, and at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Parent-teacher conferences for pre-kindergarten and elementary school students will be in the late afternoon and evening on Monday, Feb. 7, and Tuesday, Feb. 8. Parent-teacher conferences will also occur during the day on Wednesday, Feb. 9. Times for pre-kindergarten and elementary school parent-teacher conferences on Feb. 7 through Feb. 9 will vary from school to school.

Students in pre-kindergarten and grades K-5 do not have school on Wednesday, Feb. 9.
