The Grand Island school board will have a working meal to review its proposed 2008-09 projects list before its March board meeting begins on Thursday.

Projects include the ongoing classroom addition and renovation at Shoemaker Elementary; conversion of the old Engleman Elementary into a preschool center; redoing the entrance to Walnut Middle School with a Safe School grant; installing interior and exterior security cameras at Dodge, Howard, Lincoln and Wasmer elementary schools; and the centralized kitchen project at the Kneale Administration Building.

Board members will be asked to approve the project list during the regular board meeting, which will start at 6:30 p.m.

One proposed project on the list is the installation of FieldTurf on the football field at Memorial Stadium.  Full Story
