Superintendent Steve Joel will go on a trip to China from Dec. 2 to Dec. 10 to learn more about the Chinese system of education.

Joel will be part of a large delegation of educators from across the United States who will be making the trip.

The trip is being financed by the Confucian Institute in China and the College Board in the United States.

Joel said he does not yet have a complete agenda, but he believes a very large contingent of educators will make the trip. He said two days will be spent in Beijing, looking at schools there, with another three days spent in Chinese provinces, looking at how schools in other parts of the country educate their students.  Full Story
