Heineman visit to GISH provides insights into educational process

In an unannounced visit to Grand Island Senior High, Gov. Dave Heineman said, he job shadowed Principal Kent Mann for three and a half hours Tuesday morning.
Heineman later talked about his visit to Senior High in relationship to the hard decisions he will have to make regarding state funding of education this year. He made his comments at the noon meeting of the Grand Island Rotary Club.
"I had a great time, and I was impressed with many of the things that they are doing there (at Senior High)," Heineman said.
