Grand Island public schools hosting Sing Around Nebraska

Grand Island will be one of 12 sites for the 10th biannual Sing Around Nebraska Honor Choir Festival on Saturday at Grand Island Senior High, said Charity LaBrie, music teacher at Wasmer Elementary School.

Approximately 250 students from Grand Island and surrounding communities will perform in a public concert at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Island Senior High auditorium at 2124 N. Lafayette Ave.

Concert tickets cost $3 per person for adults and children more than 12 years old. Children 12 and under accompanied by an adult will be admitted for free.

LaBrie and Marti Sanchez, another Grand Island public schools music teacher, are coordinating the local event.  Full Story
