A virtual reality welding mask gave students at Grand Island Senior High a real-life look at pay and job opportunities for welders.
The virtual reality welding equipment arrived Monday morning in a van from the Tulsa Welding School, which uses it as one way to promote the Oklahoma school.
The virtual reality mask looks much like a regular welding mask, although it has interior lenses that can be adjusted to align with each person's eyes. The welding mask provides a 3-D image as the student completes the weld.
