GISH SENIORS: Up to the challenge

As Steve Joel and Kevin Goshorn looked out at the nearly 400 Grand Island Senior High graduates at the Heartland Events Center on Sunday, they both saw the same thing.

They saw an urgent task ahead — to make a difference in an uncertain world.

“Our country — and our world — is depending on you,” said Joel, superintendent of Grand Island public schools.

They both also saw in the members of that “sea of purple,” as Joel called it, the potential to take on that task.  Full Story
