Chamber honors top GISH graduates

The second of three 2011 Chamber Academic Recognition Banquets acknowledged the top 15 percent of Grand Island Senior High’s graduating senior class on Monday night at the Midtown Holiday Inn.

For more than 30 years, the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce has sponsored a series of annual Academic Recognition Banquets honoring the top-ranked graduating scholars from Grand Island high schools.

The program emcee was Brian Dunagan, chairman of the chamber’s Young Professionals Group and a GISH alumnus.

Valedictorian sponsors were Butler Orthodontics and JBS Swift & Co. The dean’s list sponsor was Bosselman Inc./Pump & Pantry, and honor roll sponsors were Equitable Bank, Olsson Associates, Awards Plus and Case IH.  Full Story
