Clint Carpenter, one of four finalists for the job of Grand Island school superintendent, told the Grand Island school board Monday night that he feels he can independently make the right decision for the school system nine out of 10 times.
But Carpenter, who is now serving as state superintendent for the Texas Youth Commission, said he also feels as though he can raise that average to 9.9 times out of 10 if he can bring the appropriate stakeholders into the decision-making process.
Carpenter made those statements in response to a series of questions asked by Grand Island school board members, the final step in a day-long process that had him meeting with teachers, administrators, parents and community members. Full Story
