Board approves lenghthy school project list

The Grand Island school board approved a list of 57 projects during its board meeting Monday night.

Board approval came after an earlier meeting that began at 5 p.m., when school district business manager Virgil Harden and Dan Petsch, director of building and grounds, reviewed the project list.

Petsch said he was not certain the district had enough money nor enough manpower to finish all 57 projects on the list, but he said he was confident 90 percent of them will get down.

This year's project list is longer than normal, but -- with a few notable exceptions -- many of the projects are less expensive than normal.  Full Story
