Assistant superintendent blogging from China trip

Robin Dexter, assistant superintendent for student learning in the Grand Island Public Schools, is blogging about her trip to China.

Dexter is traveling with a group of Nebraska educators, Nebraska state government officials, and University of Nebraska-Lincoln officials who have been invited by the Hanban Confucius Institute Headquarters to tour that country.

The goal of the Hanban Confucius Institute is to get people around the world to learn about the culture of China, as well as the Chinese language. To further that goal, the organization has established Confucius Institutes at numerous American colleges and universities, including the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Full Story
