3 apply to fill GIPS school board seat

Three people have applied to fill Clay Schutz’s unexpired Ward C seat on the Grand Island school board.

The applicants are Jared Stocwell, 1518 W. Koening; Jay Hehnke, 2505 E. Seeding Mile Road; and Brian Exstrum, 206 S. Lincoln Ave.

The three candidates will be interviewed at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the board room at the Kneale Administration Building, 123 S. Webb Road. The deadline for people interested in the office was at the end of the business day on Tuesday.

Interviews will be conducted by the other members of the school board.  Full Story
