Westridge Middle School students raise money for Red Cross efforts in Haiti

Westridge Middle School students raised $860 to donate to the American Red Cross for relief efforts in Haiti, said Ramona Mrkvicka, a counselor at Westridge.
Students participated in a penny war to collect the money.

Westridge students will present a check to officials from the Central Plains Chapter of the American Red Cross at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, during a short school assembly.
