Westridge Middle School students collect items for Crisis Center
Westridge Middle School students are collecting clothing, books, toys, stuffed animals, and personal care items for use by clients of the Crisis Center in Grand Island, Westridge Counselor Ramona Mrkvicka said.
The drive began Dec. 8 and ends Dec. 17.
Students in the Westridge Crochet Club have made bags using recycled plastic bags. These bags will be filled with items collected from the drive to be given as "treat bags" as clients enter the Crisis Center.
The donated items and bags will be presented to representatives from the Crisis Center at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Westridge Middle School, 4111 W. 13th St.
