Westridge D.C. Students sponsoring garage sale
Westridge Middle School's D.C. Students are sponsoring a rummage sale Saturday, April 25, at the school to raise money for an annual student trip to Washington, D.C.
The multi-family garage sale will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 25 in the school's cafeteria at 4111 W. 13th St. Items for sale will include toys, household items, and clothing.
Seventh- and eighth-grade students and adult sponsors will visit Washington, D.C., May 27 through May 29.
Sites they will visit include Mount Vernon, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, the National Museum of American History, Arlington National Cemetery, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, war memorials, presidential memorials, and the National Archives.
Students have participated in a variety of other fund-raisers, including selling concessions at athletic events, car washes, and bake sales.
