Walnut Middle School hosting middle school chili feed and parent awareness session

Parents of Grand Island Public Schools middle school students who attend a parent awareness session on Thursday, Nov. 12, won't just go to a meeting.

Theyíll have the opportunity to attend a family chili feed at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at Walnut Middle School, then go to a parent awareness session at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 concerning teen dating and teen dating violence.

Families of Barr, Walnut, and Westridge Middle School students are welcome to attend the chili feed and parent awareness session. The cost for the all-you-can-eat chili feed is $1 per person.

During the parent awareness session, an activity will be available for students. A parent or guardian must accompany any student who attends the events.

Walnut Middle School is located at 1600 N. Custer Ave.
