Walnut Middle School 6th-graders will present vocal music concert on April 12

Walnut Middle School’s sixth-grade students will present a vocal music concert beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the school’s auditorium at 1600 N. Custer Ave.

The concert will feature the sixth-grade chorus, sixth-grade select choir, and soloists and small groups, said vocal music teacher Kay Lyons, who directs the groups.

There will also be a 2:30 p.m. performance on Tuesday, April 12, for sixth-graders, sixth- grade teachers, and family and friends who cannot attend the evening performance.

A select choir will sing “Disney Movie Magic,” and various soloists will be featured. The sixth-grade chorus will sing a variety of patriotic, popular, and folk songs.

The public is welcome to attend the concert, and there is no admission charge. Hannah Jorgensen is the accompanist for the groups.
