Students learn about photography as an art

Family snapshots should be treasured.

They record historic moments: birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, weddings, family vacations, backyard barbecues, fishing trips, youth baseball and softball games, grandpa and grandma at their home. Looking at family snapshots helps people relive shared memories and often brings a smile to the face.

Photography, though, belongs to another realm altogether. It requires forethought, planning, careful composition, the deliberate use of light and shadow.  Full Story
