Shoemaker Elementary School hosting carnival
Shoemaker Elementary School's Parent-Teacher Organization is sponsoring a school carnival on Saturday, Jan. 17, Principal Toni Palmer said.
The carnival will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 17 at Westridge Middle School at 4111 W. 13th St. and is a fund-raiser for the school's PTO. The PTO is raising money for projects such as a mobile computer lab, author visits, and an artist-in-residence.
"This is a family event with great games," Palmer said.
Pizza and beverages will be available from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 17.
A raffle and silent auction will be held. Tickets for the event may be purchased at Shoemaker Elementary School's office at 4160 Old Potash Highway, Palmer said.
