School district receives award from Economic Development Corporation

The Grand Island Public Schools received a Partners in Progress Award Feb. 4 from the Grand Island Area Economic Development Corporation.

Superintendent Steve Joel accepted the award at the Economic Development Corporation's annual meeting at the Midtown Holiday Inn.

Joel is a member of the Economic Development Corporation's Advisory Board.

Other Partners in Progress Award honorees were Standard Iron and the State Fair Steering Committee comprised of Ken Gnadt, Cindy Johnson, Don Dunn, and Jay Vavricek.
