Penny war at Walnut a success

The penny war at Walnut Middle School has ended after two weeks of heated battle.

“I am really proud of the kids,” assistant principal D. W. Holley said. “They did a great job of raising awareness of what is going on in the world.”

To earn points in a penny war team members contribute pennies to their own jar. To subtract points from another team, competitors put nickels, dimes, quarters or paper money into their jar.  Full Story
