Nominations sought to rename former Engleman Elementary School building
Nominations are being accepted from the public to rename the former Engleman Elementary School building at 4360 W. Capital Ave.
Starting this fall, the building will function as an early childhood education (preschool) center.
Based on Board of Education policy, a committee with representation from the Board of Education, community, administration, and teaching staff has been appointed to review potential names and to make recommendations to the Board of Education for consideration at its May 14 meeting.
Nominations should include the following information:
*Suggested name for the building
*Rationale for the suggested name
*Name, address, and phone number of the person submitting the nomination
Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, and can be mailed to: Naming Committee, c/o Carol Bryant, Public Relations Coordinator, Grand Island Public Schools, P.O. Box 4904, Grand Island, NE 68802. Nominations can also be submitted at the Kneale Administration Building at 123 S. Webb Road or e-mailed to Carol Bryant at:
