Nominations being accepted for Teacher of the Year, Staff Member of the Year, and Administrator of the Year
The Grand Island Education Foundation is accepting nominations for Teacher of the Year, Staff Member of the Year, and Administrator of the Year.
Platte Valley State Bank sponsors the program.
The deadline for submitting 2009-2010 school year nominations is May 28.
Nominees must be current teachers, principals, administrators, specialists, counselors, or support staff members (secretaries, custodians, para-educators, food service, etc.) in Grand Island Public Schools. Six awards will be made.
Nomination forms are available on Grand Island Public Schools' Web site, www.gips.org/about-gips/foundation/teachers-of-the-year, at each Grand Island Public Schools building, and at the Kneale Administration Building, 123 S. Webb Road.
Nominations should include the following information:
1. Teacher, staff member, or administrator's name
2. Subject/grade taught, or job duty
3. Name of school where teacher, staff member, or administrator is employed
4. Name, address, phone number and e-mail address of person submitting nomination
5. An explanation of why the teacher, staff member, or administrator deserves to be named Teacher of the Year, Staff Member of the Year, or Administrator of the Year
Nominations can be returned to school principals or to the Grand Island Education Foundation, P.O. Box 4904, Grand Island, NE 68802-4904.
