Multi-instrumentalist Todd Green will be an artist-in-residence at Westridge Middle School on Sept. 17 and will also present a free family concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 at the school at 4111 W. 13th St.
Moonshell Arts and Humanities Council is sponsoring the artist-in-residency and concert with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council through funds from the Nebraska Legislature, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
Green plays more than 30 string, flute, and percussion instruments from all over the world.
His custom-built electronics system allows him to layer instrument sounds as he plays and in effect turns him into a high-tech, one-man-band of music from around the world.
Green will be working with students in sixth through eighth grade at Westridge Middle School starting at 2 p.m. Sept. 17.
A flyer concerning the free concert is attached.
