Marketing firm wins award for designing G.I. Public Schools Web site
Idea Bank Marketing won a first-place Prism Award for its design of the Grand Island Public Schools Web site from the Lincoln Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
The award was presented May 14 in Lincoln.
The first-place Prism Award was in the Non-Profit Emerging Media category.
The Web site, which can be viewed at
www.gips.org, is designed to connect the district's 18 schools and a diverse student and community population. Since it launched in March 2008, the site has become a vital source of information for calendar items, menus, district news, staff recruitment, and more.
The annual award event celebrates outstanding and effective marketing approaches in a wide variety of categories. Winners are chosen from a highly-competitive field of submissions from the best advertising and marketing firms in the region.
Grand Island Public Schools employees who worked with Idea Bank Marketing to redesign the Web site included Sue Burch, director of technology; Carol Etherton, technology support specialist; Rose Zlomke, technology support specialist; Jaime Wattier, technology secretary; and Carol Bryant, public relations coordinator.
