Lincoln Elementary School hosting traveling exhibit about 1888 blizzard

Lincoln Elementary School is hosting a traveling exhibit from the Omaha Children's Museum, "The Schoolchildren's Blizzard," on Monday, Dec. 8.

"The Schoolchildren's Blizzard" exhibit ties the poetry of "The Blizzard Voices," written by former U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser, to the Jan. 12, 1888, blizzard through art and history.

The exhibit will be displayed in the gym at Lincoln Elementary School, 805 N. Beal St., from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 8. The exhibit is open to the public.
