Knickrehm student wins Agriculture Week in Nebraska poster contest
Cornelio Jaimes, a fifth-grade student at Knickrehm Elementary School, won first place in the fifth- and sixth-grade division of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture's Agriculture Week in Nebraska poster contest.
Cristian Nava, also a fifth-grader at Knickrehm, finished third in the division. Their teacher is Diane Meyer.
Each poster illustrates the contest's theme, "Nebraska Agriculture: See Us Grow."
Winning posters will be featured in various Nebraska Department of Agriculture publications and special events. The winning posters may be viewed online at

This was the fifth year for the contest, which generated 1,152 entries from students in first through sixth grades from throughout Nebraska.
