Knickrehm Elementary School sponsoring Family Literacy Night
Knickrehm Elementary School's Family Literacy Night will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at the Grand Island Public Library.
The library's staff, Knickrehm teachers, and Knickrehm's PTA have planned a full evening of activities for the whole family, said Knickrehm Principal Andrew Rinaldi.
Knickrehm students and their families will have the opportunity to tour the library at 211 N. Washington St. and apply for library cards. Stations will be set up so families can learn about the services that the library offers.
PTA members will serve ice cream in the library's foyer, and a raffle drawing will occur for classroom baskets. Every Knickrehm student who attends will receive a free book.
