Howard Elementary School students raise $880 for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Howard Elementary School students and their parents raised $880.60 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Nebraska through a coin drive, Principal Kris Burling said.

The school's goal was to collect $500 in two weeks.

"The students were thrilled with our ending number," Burling said.

Howard Elementary School was one of 300 Nebraska schools that participated in the fund drive.
