Howard Elementary School offers Community Services Fair
Howard Elementary School is hosting its sixth annual Community Services Fair from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10, in the school's gym.
The purpose of the event is to help parents become aware of many different services available in Grand Island. Participants are asked to enter the school through the East Gymnasium entrance on Walnut Street.
Families of students from all 14 of the school district's elementary schools are being invited to attend the event at Howard Elementary School at 502 W. Ninth St., said Howard Principal Kris Burling. Families of middle school and high school students are also welcome to attend.
Representatives of approximately 55 helping organizations and businesses from Grand Island will be available to share information with parents and families. Some examples of these services include health care and wellness, housing, employment, child care, family services, insurance, and educational services.
Interpreters will be available to assist families, Burling said.
