Homecoming king, queen selected at G.I. Senior High School

Grand Island Senior High School's Homecoming King and Queen are Michael Rivera and Hannah Huston.
The Homecoming Queen and King were crowned at the Homecoming Dance on Oct. 4, said Student Council Sponsor Barry Skalberg. They were chosen by a vote of the Senior Class.
Michael Rivera is the son of Mario and Linda Rivera. Michael Rivera is the head drum major for the high school's Marching Band. He is also involved in Varsity Show Choir, this year's musical "West Side Story," Community Youth Council, and is a Senior SAGE. Following graduation, Rivera plans to attend McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minn., and major in music producing, engineering and performance.
Hannah Huston is the daughter of Jay and Candy Huston. Hannah Huston is an active member of Student Council, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Chamber Singers, and Friends of Rachel. She is a letter winner in volleyball, tennis, and golf and is also involved with powder puff football. Following graduation, Hannah plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The other Homecoming King candidates, as nominated by the Senior Class, were Logan Almond, Cole Kruger, Zach Shultz, and Braden Taylor. The other Queen candidates were Kara Brostrom, Lizzy Osorio, Eryn Richardson, and Sara Schutte.
