GISH grad responsible for movie's musical score

John von Seggern returned to his musical roots in Grand Island and Nebraska to create the score for "A Million Spokes," a documentary about RAGBRAI, an annual seven-day bike ride across the state of Iowa.

The documentary, which follows the riders of the 2009 RAGBRAI, and the musical score will make their debut Friday afternoon at the Riviera 4 Theater in Sioux City, Iowa.

Von Seggern, the son of Bill and Merry von Seggern, graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1986. While a student at Senior High, von Seggern played electric bass in the Senior High jazz band and upright bass in the Senior High orchestra.  Full Story
