Gates Elementary School sponsoring Math Night
Gates Elementary School is hosting a Math Night on Thursday, Nov. 19, to promote having students participate in math activities at home, Principal Julie Martin said.
The event will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at the school at 2700 W. Louise St.
Students will teach parents math games that they can play at home to reinforce math computation skills and math concepts.
"The night helps to reinforce the importance of parent involvement, both at school and with their child's education at home," Martin said.
Students will invite their parents to their classrooms where several stations will be set up to learn the games that connect with the Math Trailblazers curriculum.
